    The Reason

I have had a TON of questions about my blog.  Not just about how I created it, but why I created it as well. I decided to write a post to explain a few things.

Taking this blogging journey was scary, to say the least, but so worth it.  Being a stay at home mama is seriously something that I’m so passionate about.  I truly feel blessed that Davis works as hard as he does for us to be able to do that.  I know being a stay at home mom isn’t for everyone, but for me, it’s a dream come true.  Being a mommy is my passion.  My life revolves around my kids and I live every day for them and Davis.  With that being said,  a stay at home mama is, at times, also a very lonely job.  Having no adult contact some days can drive me crazy.  Thankfully Walt is starting to have full conversations so I can give the birds a rest (JK).  My goal with this blog is to inspire other mamas to see the fun side of mom life.  I love being inspired by other mamas through social media, and I hope that I can inspire people as well.

    DIY Magnetic Chalkboard

I have always loved chalkboards.  When I was a kid, I would get so excited when my teacher would call on me to go to the chalkboard to answer a question.  When I heard about chalkboard paint, I knew I had to have that for my boys.  While doing some research to figure out how I wanted to create the chalkboard, I found out about magnetic primer.  We don’t have a magnetic refrigerator, so I knew I wanted something for Walt to be able to play with all his magnetic letters and numbers on.  This was perfect!  I was a little nervous about how well it would actually work, but I figured it was worth a shot. The BEST Snickerdoodle Cookies

Mother in the kitchen baking snickerdoodle cookies while her son sleeps in her arms

Snickerdoodle cookies are my absolute favorite!  This recipe was actually the first “made from scratch” cookies I ever attempted.  They are really easy, hard to mess up, and a definite crowd pleaser.  I’ve even gotten so confident in my snickerdoodle skills that I bake them for people at my husband’s office during the holidays.

I have the recipe pinned on my Pinterest, so I can’t take credit for this deliciousness.  It’s from  Cookies and Cups, and I can’t begin to explain how happy I am that I found her amazing page!  My sweet Walt goes a little cookie crazy every time I make them because he wants a “big” and not a “little”. Boys…  I’m really in trouble when Oliver gets to the cookie eating stage.  I will have to start hiding a couple for myself! Read more…
