    Baby Wardrobe Refresh

Dressing my babies is one of my FAVORITE things to do.  I literally shop for them more than I shop for myself.  Most of the time, they are even dressed better than I am, haha.  I end up spending so much money every season, especially on Oliver, because he is growing so quickly.  I try to refrain myself from buying them so much, but yall know how it is when all those shops release their new lines.  It’s just so hard to not buy!  When I found Darling Duck I was SO relieved, and I know Davis was too.  Darling Duck is an online monthly subscription where you can borrow affordable outfits and then swap them out whenever you want!

Darling Duck is a monthly subscription-based service that sends you what you need based on the number of outfits you select for your babies.  They ship you the clothes and you keep them as long as your baby can wear them.  You can send anything back at any time.  A return bag, as well as a priority prepaid label, is sent with your order so returns are very easy. Darling Duck offers two bundles: the Mini Bundle provides access to 3 outfits and is ideal for supplementing your baby’s wardrobe, while the Essential Bundle provides access to 6 outfits and can serve most of your baby’s clothing needs. Darling Duck offers boutique quality clothes from 0-24 months, with many top brands including MilkBarn, Finn and Emma, Angel Dear, Spendid, and Toobydoo.  Everything we have gotten so far has been really cute and great for play days!  You can send back one item or everything from your order as often as you want, so if you get something that isn’t quite your style, it’s no problem!  Darling Duck also accepts clothes back in any condition, which is amazing because my boys most certainly know how to make a mess of their clothes no matter how hard I try to prevent it! Another great thing about Darling Duck is that they will let you purchase any outfits you receive that you fall in love with for 60% off retail price.  It’s an all-around great resource for keeping your kid’s closets updated without breaking the bank.  Darling Duck offers a one-month free trial so you can try it out and cancel it without being charged if it just isn’t for you!  I’m so glad that I’ve found out about this company.  It’s easy to use, and so much fun getting clothes in the mail!

    MatiMati Baby

I’m kinda obsessed with dressing my babies.  I swear, I put more time into getting them ready on a daily basis than I do myself.  That’s okay though because #momlife.  Something that drives me crazy is getting them all dressed up for dinner, sitting them at a table at some nice restaurant, and then having to put some obnoxious bib on them.  THE TORTURE.  It seriously irked me for all of Walt’s bib wearing days.  Lucky for Oliver, I’ve found a company that has fixed my problem!

    Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – Tops

THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE IS OFFICIALLY OPEN TO EVERYONE! Yay!  I’m doing a round-up on my favorite tops that I was lucky enough to score with early access.  But first I need to start off by giving Davis some mega props.  The first night the sale opened for early access, he got up with me at 4am to shop!  He made me coffee while I got to work.  It was amazing. He got the best husband award for sure!  Now, back to the sale.  Items go out of stock rather quickly so don’t wait to purchase something that you really want.  On the flip side, Nordstrom is constantly restocking items so it’s possible you could still score something you missed out on if you check back later!

    Daniel Wellington Watches

Piloting Life - Daniel Wellington Watches

Daniel Wellington is one of my favorite new watch companies.  Davis and I both received watches from them two weeks ago, and we are already big fans!  Their watches are very well made, and their interchangeable strap feature allows you to dress them up or down.  My favorite thing about them is how lightweight they are.  When I have it on, I forget I’m even wearing a watch.  Big clunky jewelry has been a no-go for me since Oliver started going through the stage of wanting to be held all the time, so these are pretty perfect for me! 20 Best Baby Products 2017

Piloting Life - 20 Best Baby Products 2017When I first found out I was pregnant with Walt I was completely overwhelmed when I walked into Babies-R-Us for the first time.  TOTAL sensory overload.  I had no idea what I was supposed to get, how most things worked, or what I even needed.  Thankfully my older sister, Nicole, sent me an email with all of her top baby products that she thought were crucial.

There are so many brands out there that carry similar products, and it is sometimes hard to know what works well and what doesn’t.  We visited multiple baby stores, got a hands on testing experience with our choices, then filled out our registries.  We then went home and read reviews on the products we had chosen and made some changes.  Reading reviews on Amazon and other similar sites absolutely saved us from making some poor decisions!

I decided to make my own list for all of my new mama friends.  Here are twenty of my favorite baby products out of the bajillion out there.  I use the majority of these products almost every day and they are seriously so helpful!  I also added a new “Shop Baby Products” section at the top of my blog for more of my baby + toddler favorite products.  Check it out and let me know what you think!

    Maxi Lover For Life

When I decide to get out of my workout clothes and get dressed for the day, I try and do something cute, but comfy at the same time.  Does anyone else get dressed in their workout clothes but hardly ever work out? Haha, it’s just the best mom gear!  Anyways, when I do dress cute for the day, I like to keep it toddler/baby friendly.  Nothing too short, too low-cut, easy to move around in, easy to nurse in, and not skin tight.  Maxi dresses just always seem to crush all those check marks.  So, today I’m sharing one of my favorites from Gray Monroe.  You can shop my entire outfit below! The Ollie Swaddle

I found out about The Ollie Swaddle when I was in my third trimester with Oliver.  I must admit, I only bought it because of the name.  I didn’t know much about it but knew I had to have it because of the precious packaging.  We used it on our sweet Oliver his first night home with us and let me tell you, THIS SWADDLE IS AMAZING.  Ollie loves being in it, and he can’t break free!   Read more…

    Finn + Emma

Finn and Emma Woodland Play Gym is my new favorite baby toy!  Oliver is L O V I N G it, which means I am too!  I can lay him down underneath it and actually get a chore or two done.  It’s made out of 100% birch wood and finished with a non-toxic stain.  There are interchangeable dolls/teethers that hang down from the stand.  The precious dolls and teethers can be used apart from the stand as separate toys when your babe is older too!
